Reflection Paper About Global Citizenship Project Presentation
In the class of fundamentals of speech, we have given the assignment of working in a Global Citizenship project. Global citizenship is the concept of a person that is aware and understands the wider world and value their place in it. I believe this has been one of my favorites assignments in college because I have learned a lot from it. Also, it is not just an assignment or a project because we can act and personal responsibility to solve issues that are around the world. In this project we were given four issues.

The first group theme was the health care program. Their presentation was interesting. They used PowerPoint and manage them to look visually enjoyable. Their topics were important to know because they gave tips about the medical insurance that we are eligible for. They explained the different ways in which people can be benefited from health care programs. Medicare is a taxpayer-funded insurance program that helps people that are 65 and older and Medicaid is similar but for low-income households. Moreover, the first group correlated their presentation with chapters eleven to twelve from the book.
The second group was also interesting. Their team members were full of energy and made the presentation exciting. It was stimulating as they were asking questions while they were presenting. I think this group improved their presentation skills a lot. They talked about wealth and made a poll for the class so we could interact in the presentation. They explained social security and explained why the next generations might not benefit from it. Also, they talked about the difference between lower and upper classes. They said that many people are becoming rich and they compared it with the American Dream Their chapters from the book were fifteen, sixteen and seventeen. These chapters were about delivery, informative speaking and persuasive speaking. Also, their brochure was fun as they put a dollar bill in the back.
The third group was about morals and ethics. This group was charismatic and made a great presentation. They asked us what we thought was right or wrong. This group did not read from the PowerPoints and each team member seem prepared. What I liked about this group is that their topic was controversial meaning that each person had the opportunity to share their opinion and to be part of the presentation.

The last group was my group. Unfortunately, we did not have a chance to present in class. However, we were making a video presentation for the class so it would be something different and special from what other groups had done. In my group, I was the leader and I have the pleasure to say everyone did their part and collaborated to make a good video presentation. Our group was about education and relevant to the elections 2020 we took into consideration the reforms that the candidates are planning to make. I also did an interview with two of my professors and had them share their experience with a global citizenship project.
